Holkham Hall & Bygones Museum
Holkham Hall is one of Britain’s most majestic stately homes. It is situated in a Deer Park on the beautiful north Norfolk coast. Home to seven generations of the Earls of Leicester, this classic 18th Century Palladian Style mansion is a living treasure house of artistic and architectural history. The Bygones Museum and History of Farming Exhibition invite visitors to step back in time. The Museum, with its displays of domestic and agricultural memorabilia allows visitors to relive memories or learn about life in times gone by. For refreshments we have the Stables Café in the Pottery Courtyard. The self-service Café provides snacks, light lunches, deliciously tempting cakes and our very own mouth-watering Holkham Ice Cream. Why not visit the elegant gift shop which offers a range of tempting and original gifts? Other attractions at Holkham include Lake Cruises in the summer months (weather permitting), Park Walks, Nature Trail and Quiz, Ancient House Gift Shop and Gallery, The Victoria Hotel, Marsh Larder Tearooms, Holkham Beach and Nature Reserve and The Globe Inn at Wells-next-the-Sea. Each year, Holkham also hosts a number of events including outdoor theatre productions and open-air concerts.
